Adult Romance
Work In Progress

An adult romance written in an epistolary novel format like Love Rosie by Cecelia Ahern with a modern twist, best described as a virtual long-distance, second chance romance meets a complicated situationship like Call It What You Want by Alissa DeRogatis.
ICYMI, boys have never liked Riley…until one day at twenty-six-years-old, after she has given up on finding love altogether, she matches with Adam on dating app, Q-Pid. In a dual-point-of-view narrative told in texts, love letters, internal monologues, voice memos, song lyrics, and more, Riley and Adam form a quick and strong romantic connection. Recalling the painful memories about each other’s past loves in order to prepare for a future together, Riley and Adam learn that their underlying insecurities and fears about relationships are all too similar.
A series of missed opportunities and life circumstances leaves Riley and Adam unable to meet irl before Riley has to go back home. When “the one” is approximately 4,702 miles away before you even get a chance to share a first kiss with them, it puts a greater strain on a relationship than Riley and Adam are prepared for. Riley and Adam fall head over heels for each other, but as distance threatens to tear them apart within two short months, miscommunication and their past relationship traumas threaten to derail their future together before it can even begin. Unless Riley and Adam can get out of their own heads and assess their hearts’ true desires, they might find themselves losing out on the only real shot at true love that life has given both of them.
